Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna believes that their victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby on Saturday was "important" for their ambition this season.
Goals from Per Mertesacker, Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott saw the Gunners defeat Andre Villas-Boas's side 5-2 at the Emirates in the Premier League.
"It's very important," Sagna told Arsenal's official website. "We want to stick to the top. From now on, we just need to keep focused, look forward and win game by game.
"It was amazing to play. It's always a great pleasure to play [in] a derby, especially when you win.
"It's just great. We managed to score many goals."
Arsenal are now sixth in the table with 19 points from 12 matches.
