Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly decided to give Alexis Sanchez a mid-season break.
The Frenchman is concerned that his star player could suffer burnout after having a limited break before pre-season following his contribution to Chile's Copa America campaign.
Sanchez has scored six Premier League goals this season, but has not managed to find the back of the net since mid-October.
According to The Mirror, Wenger will take Sanchez out of the equation in the next few weeks to prevent the forward from suffering burnout and injuries.
Arsenal are currently second in the league table, level on points with leaders Manchester City after 12 games.
