Arsenal centre-back Thomas Vermaelen has said that he thought he got the ball in the penalty incident that saw Montpellier take an early lead in tonight's game.
Arsenal went on to win the Champions League encounter 2-1, but Vermaelen insisted that he would need to see the incident again to convince him that he fouled Younes Belhanda.
"In the second half we were not great," Vermaelen said. "However we stayed strong and managed to hold on to win.
"I didn't think it was a penalty but I would need to see it again. I was 100% sure I got the ball at the time, but maybe I should have kept him in front of me and been more patient."
Arsenal have never lost a European encounter in France.
