Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he was impressed by his young players during their pre-season friendly victory over Indonesia XI on Sunday.
The Gunners fielded a number of youth players for the opening match of their Asia tour in Jakarta, with Chuba Akpom, Kristoffer Olsson and Thomas Eisfeld all getting on the scoresheet in the 7-0 win.
Serge Gnabry, Gedion Zelalem and Chuks Aneke also featured for the North Londoners and duly pleased Wenger.
"Everybody came through well and it was interesting to see some young players, who have practised with us," Wenger told the club's official website.
"I felt we always played with a desire to play the game that we love to play, with a good pace, with good quick passing and good penetrating football. We still physically have some work to do but overall it's a very positive night for us, with no injuries.
"They (the young players) all did well. Gnabry is a bit older but Olsson, Gedion, Eisfeld, they did very well when they came on. Chuba Akpom did well, he looked sharp up front."
Arsenal face Vietnam in their next match on Wednesday.
