Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger views this afternoon's 1-1 draw with Southampton as two points lost, but admits that his side didn't deserve to win.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has criticised his side's finishing during their 1-1 draw with Southampton this afternoon.

The Gunners went into the match in good scoring form having netted 13 times in their last three games, but they failed to take advantage in front of goal, with their equaliser coming through a Guly do Prado own goal.

Wenger was disappointed with his side's performance, viewing the draw as two points lost.

"Considering our performance and the result of the game, I don't think we deserved more today," the Arsenal boss said.

"It is two points lost if you look at the overall target we had for Christmas. It is frustrating and disappointing as we didn't create a lot today. After having scored five at Reading and seven against Newcastle, when you sum it up today with all the chances we created there is not a lot to consider.

"Our game lacked purpose, penetration and speed, all qualities we have usually but that we didn't see tonight."

The draw leaves Arsenal in fifth place/a>, four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
