Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that forward Theo Walcott was "decisive" in their 1-0 win against Wigan Athletic in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 23-year-old earned the penalty in the 58th minute that Mikel Arteta successfully converted to bag maximum points for the Gunners at the DW Stadium.
"I wouldn't like to judge him on one game," Wenger told reporters. "For me he has the ingredients to play there (as a centre-forward). I wouldn't like to judge him on one game.
"He did not have much service today, he was a bit isolated. He can always be decisive, even if he does not have the greatest service.
"Today he made the decision because he got the penalty."
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League table with 30 points from 18 matches.
