Steve Morison comes off the bench to rescue a point for Norwich City from their trip to Arsenal.

Steve Morison's first goal in 14 games secured a point for Norwich City from their trip to Arsenal this afternoon.

The hosting Gunners got off to the best possible start when Yossi Benayoun curled them in front with just 65 seconds on the clock.

However, 11 minutes later the visitors were level courtesy of Wes Hoolahan, whose low effort from 12 yards out was parried into his own net by Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczsney.

The Polish goalkeeper was beaten again in the 27th minute by Grant Holt, who looped the ball over Szczsney via a deflection off Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs.

Norwich had chances to extend their lead further before the break, but they were unable to beat Szczsney for a third time.

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal provided a greater attacking threat after the break, creating numerous chances to draw themselves level.

Parity was eventually restored 18 minutes from time when captain Robin van Persie volleyed in a chipped pass from Alex Song from a narrow angle.

The Dutchman went on to put Arsenal in front in the 80th minute. Tomas Rosicky's pass rebounded into Van Persie's path, before he stroked the ball past John Ruddy for his 30th Premier League goal of the season.

Norwich refused to accept defeat though and found themselves level five minutes from the end when substitute Morison raced onto a through ball from Jonny Howson to fire into the bottom corner of the net from eight yards out.

Arsenal poured forward in search of a winner, but they found Ruddy in the Norwich goal in stubborn form as Paul Lambert's side held out for a point.

Van Persie claimed for a penalty deep into stoppage time, but referee Anthony Taylor deemed that he had not been fouled by Kyle Naughton three yards from goal.
