Man City lodge 'official bid' for Kalvin Phillips
Manchester City are one of a number of Premier League clubs who are believed to be interested in signing Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips, but the Citizens seem to have made the first move to try to lure the midfielder to the Etihad.
Football Insider claims that the Premier League champions have submitted their first bid for the 26-year-old, who is now regarded by Guardiola as his primary target for the remainder of the summer window.
It is thought that Phillips, who has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road, could be available for around £50m and he would be open to the prospect of leaving his boyhood club to play at a higher level.
City have allegedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of the England international, as Leeds are on the verge of signing Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca as his replacement.

Man City looking to recoup £200m from player sales
While City are looking to splash the cash on further additions, high-profile players already at the club could soon be heading for the exit door to balance the books.
The Telegraph reports that the Citizens could make as much as £200m from player sales this summer and the money generated will help fund moves for Kalvin Phillips and Brighton & Hove Albion's Marc Cucurella.
Forwards Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling are two established stars who may decide to seek pastures new, with the former seemingly the most likely to leave amid interest from the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
Jesus is allegedly valued at around £45m, while it is thought that City would be willing to sell Sterling if an offer of at least £60m was tabled this summer. Both forwards have just a year remaining on their contracts.
The Citizens could also raise funds from the sales of several players who are yet to step up to the first team, including goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, who is believed to be edging closer to a permanent move to Southampton for a fee which could rise to £15m.
