If reports are to believed, Gabriel Magalhaes is close to becoming the next arrival at Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Despite having made just 52 appearances during his two-year spell at Lille, the 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after centre-backs in Europe.
Lille have acknowledged that a number of clubs have already expressed a willingness to meet their asking price, said to be in the region of £27m.
While Napoli and Everton are also known to be in contention for the Brazilian, the latest suggestion is that the Gunners will win the race for his signature.
With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at the shirt numbers that could be available to Gabriel if he moves to North London.
Despite his relatively young age, Gabriel has already been given five different shirt numbers during the early stages of his career.
The most recent of those, the number four jersey, has already been handed to new signing William Saliba, leaving Gabriel to consider other digits should he make the switch to North London.
With the number six currently vacant, the highly-regarded South American would be a natural fit for that number should he pen a contract in the coming weeks.
Providing that Sokratis Papastathopoulos leaves Arsenal before the beginning of the new season, Gabriel may also have eyes on the Greek's number five shirt.
Realistically, they are the only two numbers which will come under consideration, particularly as Gabriel's backups are already taken by other first-team players.
While Gabriel has been given the numbers 14 and 21 at Lille and Dinamo Zagreb in the past, they are occupied by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Calum Chambers respectively.
