The agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho has confirmed that his client would be interested in a move to Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners are understood to be long-time admirers of the 24-year-old, and reports last week suggested that they had been in contact with his agent Jorge Santos.

However, Santos also hinted that Jorginho would be happy to spend another season at Napoli, with the Serie A outfit challenging for the title and on course to qualify for the Champions League.

"Arsenal know Jorginho, if they came forward with an official offer we'd talk," Santos told Radio Crc.

"It was in England that I was first asked about Jorginho but now everyone knows him and it's obvious that a lot of teams are following him.

"But at the moment all I can say is that Jorginho has a five-year contract with Napoli and wants to play for them in the Champions League next year."

The Brazilian-born defensive midfielder joined Napoli from Verona in 2014.
