Albert Sambi Lokonga has reportedly already decided on his shirt number at Arsenal ahead of his imminent arrival from Anderlecht.
The Belgian midfielder is expected to become the Gunners' second signing of the transfer window after a deal for Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares was confirmed.
Arsenal will supposedly fork out approximately £18m to secure the signature of Lokonga, who is set to pen a long-term deal with the club until the summer of 2026.
According to Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad, Lokonga is now in quarantine ahead of his arrival and has already decided that he wants to take the number 48 shirt at the Emirates.
The report claims that the '48' is a reference to his Belgian home city of Verviers, and an official announcement of his transfer is expected before the end of the week.
Lokonga leaves Anderlecht after scoring three goals and assisting seven more in 78 appearances across all competitions, and he made the bench for Belgium's friendly draw with Greece last month. body check tags ::
