New England Revolution have revealed that they have reached an agreement with Arsenal for Matt Turner, with the goalkeeper set to move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 27-year-old, who was named the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year last season, will join the Gunners in June, providing that he completes a medical with no issues.
"The New England Revolution have agreed to terms for goalkeeper Matt Turner to join Arsenal of the English Premier League in a summer transfer for an undisclosed fee pending completion of a medical," read a statement from the MLS outfit.
"Turner, the 2021 Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, is expected to join Arsenal in late June 2022."
The goalkeeper will represent the New England Revolution in their 2022 CONCACAF Champions League campaign and will also be available for half of their MLS regular season.
Turner, who has been capped on 16 occasions by the United States, has made 106 appearances for his current side in all competitions, keeping 23 clean sheets in the process.
Aaron Ramsdale is currently Arsenal's number one goalkeeper, and the arrival of Turner could open the door for Bernd Leno to move on ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. body check tags ::
