Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham is said to be comfortable with the club's lack of transfer activity during the January window.
As many as six first-team players, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, were allowed to depart the Emirates Stadium last month without any replacements being brought into the club.
However, while that has naturally led to frustration among the fanbase, Venkatesham has defended the decision to introduce no fresh faces to the squad at the midway point of the campaign.
According to a fan present at a fans' forum on Wednesday evening, Venkatesham is said that there were initially plans to sign new players until 'none of the options made sense'.
Venkatesham is also said to have revealed that Arsenal will look to make significant additions during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal currently sit in sixth position in the Premier League standings, four points adrift of the Champions League positions but with several games in hand.
