Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly renewed their interest in Atletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has scored seven times in 84 appearances for his current club in all competitions, while he has also featured on two occasions for Brazil's Under-23 team.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea have previously been linked with the South American, and according to the Daily Mail, the Premier League duo are now preparing to revive their interest.
The report claims that the Gunners are looking for a replacement for unsettled midfielder Granit Xhaka, while Frank Lampard's side are now free to enter the transfer market having had their FIFA-imposed suspension lifted.
The English duo have also allegedly sent scouts to watch Guimaraes in action at club level as they consider approaches at the start of 2020.
Benfica and Atletico Madrid are also believed to be closely monitoring developments.
