Arsenal are edging closer to completing their first signing of the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Head coach Mikel Arteta is currently focused on the Premier League title race, with his Gunners side still in with a chance of ending their 20-year wait for top-flight glory.
Arsenal, who play host to Everton in their final league fixture on Sunday, currently sit second in the table and two points behind reigning champions Manchester City at the summit.
The North Londoners know that they need to beat Everton and hope that the Citizens drop points against West Ham United to have any chance of lifting the Premier League trophy.
With the season drawing to a close, clubs across the globe have been linked with a plethora of players, and Arsenal are one team who are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal making progress to sign Fenerbahce left-back
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are "close" to completing the signing of Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.
Tavolieri claims that sources close to the player have confirmed that talks with the player's side are 'already ongoing' in the hope of reaching an agreement over personal terms.
Nothing is yet to be agreed with Kadioglu, though, and Arsenal are yet to officially open negotiations with Fenerbahce, but there seems to be optimism from the Gunners' side that a deal can eventually be agreed.
Arsenal have been linked with a number of players in several different positions in recent months, but is it understood that a new left-back is high on the agenda for Arteta.
During what has been an impressive season for Arsenal, the left-back position has been a slight issue for Arteta, with both Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu having been hit by injury this term.
Jakub Kiwior has also been tasked to fill in on occasions on the left side of defence, while Jurrien Timber is another capable of slotting into that role, but he has only just recovered from a long-term ACL injury and is yet to experience a run of games in an Arsenal jersey.
Amid uncertainty over the long-term future of Kieran Tierney - currently on loan at Real Sociedad - Arsenal appear to have identified 24-year-old Turkey international Kadioglu as one of their primary targets.
It has been reported by football.london that Arsenal could be willing to pay up to €25m (£21.5m) to lure Kadioglu to the Emirates Stadium and provide fresh competition for the left-back berth.
Kadioglu has spent the last six years at Fenerbahce and has made a total of 197 appearances in all competitions, contributing with 17 goals and 22 assists.
