Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal to sign former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure on a free transfer.
Toure is currently a free agent after seeing his eight-year spell with City come to an end during the summer, having made 316 appearances for the club and helped them to three Premier League titles.
The 35-year-old's agent Dimitry Seluk has now confirmed that his client has passed a medical at a London club and is "close" to signing a new deal in the capital.
Seluk subsequently revealed that Toure's destination is not West Ham United or Crystal Palace, with Arsenal being installed as the favourites for his signature by bookmakers.
Toure had an unsuccessful trial with Arsenal in 2003.
