Arsenal are reportedly confident of signing Spartak Moscow midfielder Kim Kallstrom on loan before the close of the transfer window this evening.
Manager Arsene Wenger has already conceded that the club will be unable to sign Schalke 04's Julian Draxler today.
However, it has emerged that the Gunners believe that they can secure the signature of the Sweden international on a temporary deal before 11pm's deadline, according to BBC Sport.
Kallstrom would be used as cover for injured Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini, who is suspended for the next three fixtures.
