Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old is thought to have set the Gunners back around £17m after they triggered the release clause in his contract.
Lucas, who scored 17 La Liga goals for Deportivo last season, including a spell of seven in seven successive games, becomes Arsenal's third signing of the summer after Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding.
"He's not only a goalscorer, he's a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He's got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year," manager Arsene Wenger told the club's official website.
Lucas, who was also linked with Everton this summer, is expected to be joined at the Emirates Stadium by Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi in the next 24 hours.
