Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Lille striker Jonathan David.
The Gunners are in the market for attacking reinforcements amid uncertainty over the futures of a number of their current strikers.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been banished from the first-team squad following a public fallout with manager Mikel Arteta, while Alexandre Lacazette is out of contract at the end of the season.
In addition to that, Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun have been linked with moves away due to a lack of first-team football.
Arsenal have reportedly drawn up a four-man shortlist of possible attacking targets, and the Evening Standard claims that David has now been added to that.
The North London outfit are understood to have been tracking the 21-year-old for a number of years and could look to move for him at some point in 2022.
David is the top scorer in Ligue 1 this season, netting 12 goals in 19 appearances.
However, Arsenal could face stiff competition for his signature, with the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United and West Ham United having also been credited with an interest. body check tags ::
