Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly abandoned plans to sign Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta from Everton.
The Gunners had been linked with a £10m move for the 29-year-old playmaker after selling midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri in recent days.
