Arsenal and Everton are both reportedly interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Reece Oxford during the January transfer window.
Oxford's future at the London Stadium is uncertain after he was told that first-team chances would be limited, despite staff at the club believing that he has a lot of potential.
The likes of Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are thought to be tracking the 20-year-old's situation, and The Mirror reports that Arsenal and Everton have also now joined the race.
The Gunners are in the market for defensive reinforcements having seen their backline ravaged by injuries in recent weeks, with Unai Emery identifying Oxford - who can play in defence and midfield - as a possible solution.
Manchester United have also previously been linked with Oxford, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach last season.
The youngster, whose contract runs out in 2021, has not featured in a Premier League matchday squad so far this season.
