Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for Inter Milan right-back Achraf Hakimi as a replacement for Hector Bellerin.
Bellerin has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta in recent weeks, and the Spain international - linked with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain - is understood to be heading for the exit door when the 2020-21 campaign draws to a close.
Bellerin's departure would leave Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers as Arteta's two recognised right-backs, but the Arsenal boss has supposedly earmarked the position as one that needs improving in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are willing to fork out Inter's €50m (£43m) asking price for former Real Madrid man Hakimi, but the Gunners would inevitably face competition for his signature.
Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Hakimi, and the report adds that the Gunners are also considering Maurizio Sarri as a replacement in the dugout for Arteta, so the 62-year-old's arrival could help facilitate a deal for the right-back.
Hakimi remains contracted to Antonio Conte's side until 2025, and he has amassed six goals and five assists from 27 Serie A appearances this season. body check tags ::
