Arsenal reportedly face competition from some of their Premier League rivals in the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Switzerland international is ready to take on a new challenge after joining the Bundesliga outfit back in 2017.

With less than seven months remaining on his contract, a wide range of clubs are vying for the 25-year-old's signature, either in January or at the end of the season.

According to 90 min, Everton and Leicester City intend to rival Arsenal for the services of Zakaria over the coming months.

The report suggests that the player's representatives have been attempting to up interest in Zakaria ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Monchengladbach are likely to prefer a sale for a cut-price fee next month over retaining Zakaria until the end of the campaign. body check tags ::
