Arsenal are reportedly fearful that Manchester City will block any move they attempt to make for Joao Cancelo this summer.
Cancelo is currently on loan at Bayern Munich after a fall-out between the player and manager Pep Guardiola.
The Portuguese full-back has featured 13 times for Bayern in the Bundesliga since his arrival, but talkSPORT claims that he has not done enough to warrant the club activating the £61.6m fee including in his loan deal.
The report further claims that Arsenal are keen to raid City once again this summer, after purchasing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko last summer.
Cancelo has allegedly struggled to make much of an impact on new Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel in Bavaria since joining in January, and with him unlikely to have much of a future at the Etihad, other clubs are taking note.
However, given Arsenal's emergence as title challengers this season, City are said to be reluctant in doing any more business with the Gunners over players who could swing the balance next season.
Having played Ben White as an auxiliary full-back this season, and with Kieran Tierney attracting interest from other clubs, Arsenal are set to be on the hunt for players in that position, but City may not sell to what has now become a direct rival.
