Arsenal transfer target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly prepared to reject a long-term contract offer at Lazio, amid interest from the Gunners and other clubs around Europe.
The 28-year-old has played over 300 times for Lazio since making the switch from Belgian club Gent in the summer of 2015, scoring 66 goals in that time period at Stadio Olimpico.
The Serbia international's current deal with Lazio expires after the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign, meaning he could leave to pastures new for free if negotiations are not successful between him and the club before then.
According to the Daily Mail, Milinkovic-Savic is set to snub a four-year contract offer from Lazio, with the likes of Arsenal and Newcastle United interested in the player.
The report also adds that Milinkovic-Savic has no intention of signing a fresh deal with the Serie A outfit, amid interest from the Premier League, as well as Juventus and AC Milan in Italy.
West Ham United are also said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder's situation this summer, with the Hammers hierarchy viewing Milinkovic-Savic as a possible replacement for Declan Rice if the England international leaves the London Stadium.
Milinkovic-Savic has scored in his last two matches for Lazio and will travel with his Biancocelesti teammates on Friday night to face Spezia in Serie A. body check tags ::
