Arsenal are reportedly hopeful of announcing a new deal for Bukayo Saka before the end of the campaign.

The 21-year-old's existing contract with the Gunners is due to expire in June 2024, and there have previously been suggestions that a number of clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation.

However, Saka has allegedly already agreed a new long-term deal with Mikel Arteta's side, with the attacker potentially earning as much as £300,000 a week over the next five years.

According to PA Sport, Arsenal are hoping to officially announce the extension before the 2022-23 campaign has concluded, with professional footage already being filmed by the club.

The England international has been in excellent form for the Gunners this season, scoring 14 goals and registering 11 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.

Saka has been a key contributor for Arsenal in the Premier League this season, scoring 13 goals and registering 11 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.

The Gunners are currently second in the table, one point behind division leaders Manchester City, who still have a game in hand on Arteta's side.

Saka came through the youth system at Arsenal, and he has now represented the club on 176 occasions in all competitions, scoring 37 goals and registering 40 assists in the process.

The forward remains confident that his team can win this season's Premier League title despite Man City's recent form taking the reigning champions to the top of the division.

"We are going to fight to the end. I am really confident, of course, in the team [to keep this momentum going]," he told reporters following the 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Sunday.

"We had a tough last month, but we are back with two wins on the spin. We are going to give everything in these last three games and see where that leaves us at the end.

"It was a really high-intensity game [at Newcastle]. We really gave everything from minute one to 96, because we needed to."

Arsenal will be bidding to make it three league victories in a row when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners will then travel to Nottingham Forest and welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers in their final two league matches of the season. body check tags ::
