Arsenal have made an approach to sign AC Milan's Riccardo Montolivo, according to the player's agent.
The midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid, but Giovanni Branchini says that it is unlikely that Montolivo will leave the Rossoneri.
"Has there been interest from other clubs? There have been tentative enquiries from Atletico Madrid, [Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen] Klopp and Arsenal, to name a few," Branchini is quoted as saying by The Express.
"At the moment, however, I feel it would be very difficult for the player to leave Milan. He became a fixture of the Rossoneri and was even given the captain's armband as proof.
"He is very happy with the club to which he belongs, and the club and fans are very satisfied with him."
Montolivo joined Milan from Fiorentina in 2012.
