Arsenal are reportedly prepared to battle Liverpool for the services of Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The Costa Rica international has been Real's number one for the last three seasons, but it is understood that he could leave the Spanish champions at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the 30-year-old, with a report claiming that head coach Jurgen Klopp has "personally called" the stopper to discuss a move.
According to Diario Gol, Arsenal are also in the hunt, with the Gunners identifying Navas as the perfect player to replace 35-year-old Petr Cech, who has struggled to produce his best form this season.
Navas came close to joining Manchester United in August 2015 as part of a swap deal with David de Gea, but a faulty fax machine saw the move fall through at the final moment.
