Everton have completed the signing of Portugal youth goalkeeper Joao Virginia from Arsenal on a three-year deal.
The 18-year-old was part of the Selecao side that beat Italy in the Under-19 European Championship final in Finland on Sunday.
Born in Faro, Virginia joined the Gunners in 2015 after progressing through the ranks of the Benfica academy and made 22 appearances for the Under-18s and Under-23s last term.
"I am really happy to be at Everton," Virginia told the official Toffees website.
"I hope to learn a lot from the goalkeepers here, Jordan Pickford, who had a great season and World Cup and Maarten Stekelenburg, who is very experienced too. This is a great opportunity for me."
Virginia is Everton's third signing of the summer after Richarlison and Lucas Digne.
