Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez.

The 26-year-old joined Betis from Club America in January 2020 and has made 43 appearances for his Spanish club in all competitions, including 28 outings during the 2020-21 campaign.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are 'closely monitoring' the midfielder, with the Gunners preparing to 'push hard' for his signature during this summer's transfer window.

Rodriguez has a contract in Seville until the summer of 2024, and there is believed to be a £68m release clause in the agreement.

Mikel Arteta's side would allegedly not be prepared to pay the buy-out fee in the Argentine's contract, but Betis are said to be open to selling him in the upcoming market for the right offer.

Rodriguez has scored once in 25 La Liga appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side this season. body check tags ::
