Arsenal are reportedly plotting a £15m raid on Real Madrid for midfielder Sami Khedira this summer.
According to The Mirror, manager Arsene Wenger had made an enquiry during the January transfer window, but the German international has only recently returned to full fitness after suffering a knee injury back in October.
However, Wenger is thought to be still keen on a move for the 27-year-old, with a deal likely to cost as little as £15m.
Khedira is seen as a more affordable option, with former Gunners midfielder Cesc Fabregas valued at around £30m.
Such was his return to fitness, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti decided to include Khedira from the start of their 4-1 Champions League final victory over Atletico Madrid.
