Arsenal have reportedly begun discussions with midfielder Aaron Ramsey over a new deal to avoid seeing another of their first-team regulars potentially depart for free.
The Gunners risk losing key duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez on free contracts next summer, as they are now into the final 12 months of their current terms and are unlikely to put pen to paper on an extension.
According to The Telegraph, Ramsey is to be rewarded for his FA Cup final-winning performance with a new deal that will keep him in place at the Emirates Stadium beyond 2019.
Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck also have two years left to run on their contracts, but Ramsey's situation is said to be the most pressing concern.
Arsenal could yet tie down Sanchez and Ozil for the long term, having used both players in their promotional kit launch on Wednesday.
