Arsenal are reportedly ready to table a substantial salary increase to Ben White as they aim to secure the 26-year-old defender's services with a new and improved deal at the club.

Since his £50m transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2021, White has become a key player under Mikel Arteta and has started every Premier League game for his side this season.

The Gunners also recently wrapped up the contract negotiations of several other first-team players, including the likes of club captain Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

According to Football Insider, if White extends his contract with Arsenal, he is expected to receive a significant salary increase from his current weekly earnings of £120,000, which will see him rank among the club's top earners.

The report further suggests that a full agreement between the England international and Arsenal is expected in the coming months, given the productive nature of the ongoing talks between the parties involved.

White's current contract at the Emirates Stadium is set to expire in 2026, but that term will be extended when the defender puts pen to paper on the new deal.

The 26-year-old is currently operating under the initial contract he signed upon joining Arsenal in 2021, making this prospective renewal in North London his first.

The former Leeds United loanee achieved the milestone of 100 appearances for the Gunners during their league encounter against Newcastle United last weekend.
