Arsenal have reportedly decided to enter the race to sign forward Gaetan Laborde from Bordeaux.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was showing considerable interest in the 23-year-old after impressing in Ligue 1 last season.
However, according to Foot Mercato, Laborde has been identified by Gunners manager Arsene Wenger as a potential alternative to his other main transfer targets.
Wenger is allegedly keen to bring in at least one of Kylian Mbappe and Thomas Lemar, but with AS Monaco likely to demand big money for each of their star men, who are also attracting interest from elsewhere, the Arsenal chief may have to move for other names on his shortlist.
During the most recent campaign, Laborde netted 13 times in all competitions as he helped Bordeaux finish in sixth place in France's top flight.
