Arsenal have reportedly approached Lazio with an improved offer for Joaquin Correa.
The 26-year-old is believed to have recently been the subject of a €20m (£17m) bid from the Gunners, with the Italian outfit quickly rejecting the approach from the North London club.
However, according to Il Messaggero, Arsenal have now made a bid of between €15m (£12.9m) and €20m (£17m) for Correa, in addition to offering Lucas Torreira to the Serie A side as part of the deal.
The report claims that Lazio are prepared to accept the current proposal, and Correa is hopeful that a switch to the Emirates Stadium can be agreed in the near future.
The Argentine, who has recently been linked with Liverpool, scored 11 times and registered six assists in 38 appearances at club level during the 2020-21 campaign.
Meanwhile, the attacker has netted 30 goals and contributed 18 assists in 117 outings for Lazio since joining the White and Sky Blues from Sevilla in 2018. body check tags ::
