Arsenal could miss out on a deal for Julian Draxler this summer as Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly emerged as the favourites for the Paris Saint-Germain attacker.
The 27-year-old's existing deal with the French champions is due to expire at the end of June, and it does not appear that he will be signing a fresh contract.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with the Germany international, who has scored three times and contributed four assists in 20 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side this season.
However, according to TodoFichajes, Draxler favours a return to the Bundesliga with Leverkusen, and Peter Bosz's team are now the leading candidates to secure his signature.
The versatile attacker started his career at Schalke 04, representing the club on 170 occasions before a move to Wolfsburg, where he spent a season and a half ahead of a switch to PSG.
Draxler has scored 23 times and registered 36 assists in 160 appearances for Les Parisiens.
