Arsenal have handed a trial to Atletico Nacional midfielder Sebastian Perez ahead of a potential move to the Gunners.
Perez, who plays as a defensive midfielder, impressed for Colombia at the ongoing Under-20 World Cup in Turkey but was unable to prevent his side falling to a penalty shootout defeat at the hands of South Korea in the first knockout round.
The 20-year-old became the youngest-ever player to win a Colombian top-flight winner's medal in his debut season two years ago and also helped Nacional to the Colombian Cup last season.
The trial was confirmed by Atletico president Juan Carlos de la Cuesta yesterday. Perez has already made 50 appearances for the Nacional first team despite his young age.
