Arsenal have held initial talks with Real Betis over an end-of-season move for Nabil Fekir, according to a report.
The 26-year-old came close to moving to the Premier League in 2018, only for his switch to Liverpool to collapse at the last minute.
Fekir moved from Lyon to Betis the following year and has played a direct part in 10 goals in his debut La Liga campaign.
Spanish outlet AS suggests that the French midfielder's form has attracted the interest of Arsenal, who are looking to find a replacement for Dani Ceballos.
Ceballos is due to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season when his loan contract expires, with a permanent deal not expected to be on the cards.
Arsenal are said to have enquired about Fekir's availability, but they must hand over £44m if they wish to sign him.
