Swansea City defender Ashley Williams emerges a reported transfer target for Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly preparing a summer move for Swansea City skipper Ashley Williams.

The 28-year-old has been one of Swansea's star performers in an impressive season, but according to The Guardian, his form has not gone unnoticed.

It is understood that Wenger has targeted the Welshman to improve his struggling defence, but Liverpool have also reportedly made their interest known to the Welsh outfit.

Williams is contracted to Swansea until 2015.
