Arsenal are reportedly open to allowing Folarin Balogun to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old shunned multiple offers from elsewhere to sign a new long-term contract with the Gunners earlier this year.

However, since starting Arsenal's first Premier League game of the season, Balogun has been provided with just 18 minutes of senior football.

According to football.london, Mikel Arteta is prepared to loan out the England Under-21 international if he remains on the periphery of the squad.

Much could depend on whether Arsenal find a resolution with Eddie Nketiah, who will enter the final six months of his contract at the start of 2022.

While the Championship may be regarded as the most likely destination, Balogun has plenty of admirers in the Bundesliga. body check tags ::
