Arsenal have reportedly identified Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis as a potential signing in January.
Luis has less than a year remaining on his contract at the La Liga giants, and Paris Saint-Germain were said to be interested during the summer before opting to move for Bayern Munich's Juan Bernat.
However, according to Kick Off, the Gunners are ready to step in midway through the campaign as Unai Emery looks to add another option on the left side of defence.
Emery can already call upon Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, but it appears that the Spaniard wants Luis to join his first-team squad at the Emirates Stadium.
Atletico will likely be open to accepting a cut-price fee for the 33-year-old, providing that fresh terms are not agreed before the January window.
The Brazil international has previously spent a year at Chelsea, with 26 appearances being made in all competitions during the 2014-15 campaign.
