Arsenal are reportedly set to battle with local rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.
The 19-year-old has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Canaries this season, and the England Under-21 international is also believed to have caught the eye of Everton and West Ham United.
The Daily Mail reports that while Spurs are still thought to be favourites to sign Aarons, Arsenal made an enquiry earlier this week.
It is believed that the former Luton Town academy player could be available for £30m, with Norwich potentially having the option to take him back on loan until the end of this season.
The report suggests that new Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is concerned that Hector Bellerin is not the same player following his recent injury struggles and believes that Aarons has the pace and energy required to fit into Arteta's playing style.
