Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly identified Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek as an ideal replacement for Bacary Sagna.
The Gunners are keen to keep hold of Sagna, 30, but the French defender has yet to sign an extension to his contract, which is due to expire next summer.
Piszczek, 27, joined Dortmund from Hertha Berlin on a free transfer in August 2010, but two seasons of consistently impressive performances have seen his value rocket to around £10m.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal will make Piszczek their top target if they are unable to convince Sagna to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Piszczek has been capped 34 times by Poland at senior international level.
