Espanyol defender Mario Hermoso has emerged as a rumoured summer transfer target for Arsenal manager Unai Emery.
The 23-year-old has impressed with his performances for the Periquitos this season and earned his first caps for the Spain senior side in the first half of the campaign.
Hermoso, who is also part of La Roja's latest squad for the upcoming games with Faroe Islands and Sweden, is reported to have been watched up close by Emery in recent weeks.
Spanish outlet Sport suggests that Arsenal are desperate for a new centre-back to replace Shkodran Mustafi and Hermoso, possibly available for around £18m, ticks all the right boxes - particularly his affordability.
However, it is also claimed that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the defender, while former club Real Madrid are believed to have inserted a buyback clause in the contract that took him to the RCDE Stadium in 2017.
