Arsenal will reportedly wait until the summer before making a move for Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia.
The 24-year-old is thought to be the Gunners' priority target in their search for a new creative midfielder, with Mesut Ozil poised to sign for Fenerbahce after terminating his contract.
However, Norwich are reportedly demanding a £40m fee for Buendia, which is proving to be a stumbling block for the cash-strapped Gunners.
According to Goal, Arsenal have not contacted the Canaries over a deal for the Argentine, and he has now accepted that a move to North London will not materialise this month.
The report adds that Buendia is happy to reassess his options in the summer, but for now, he is simply focused on helping Norwich make an immediate return to the Premier League having amassed seven goals and seven assists in the Championship so far.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke has previously insisted that Buendia is "totally committed" to the club despite the ongoing speculation over his future.
