Arsenal are reportedly working on a deal to sign New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner.
The Gunners have seen Aaron Ramsdale establish himself as the club's undisputed number one, with former first-choice Bernd Leno now operating on the fringes of the team.
Leno is understood to be unhappy with his new role at Arsenal and is being tipped to head elsewhere in 2022, with a possible move to Newcastle United mooted.
Amid rumours of Leno's potential exit, the Evening Standard reports that Arsenal are hopeful of striking a deal for USA international Turner, who has earned 13 caps for his country.
The 27-year-old has 23 clean sheets to his name from 106 appearances for the New England Revolution, recording five shutouts in 28 games during the regular 2021 MLS season.
Turner - a Gold Cup winner with the USA in 2021 - would supposedly cost the Gunners in the region of £5.5m.
