Ivorian utility defender Emmanuel Eboue has been sold to Galatasaray for a reported fee of £3m.
The Turkish club announced today that the 28-year-old has joined the Super Lig side on a four-year contract after formally announcing that they were in talks with the player yesterday.
Eboue signed for Arsenal from Belgian club Beveren in 2005. He made a total of 214 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring five goals in the process.
“Everyone at Arsenal thanks Manu for his contribution towards the club and wishes him the best of luck for the future,” a statement on Arsenal’s website read.
The transfer to Galatasaray is still subject to formal legal agreements and registration processes.
