Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu only unanimously agreed on one of the club's summer signings, according to a report.
The Gunners spent more than any other Premier League club in the most recent window, with Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard and Takehiro Tomiyasu arriving at the Emirates.
However, The Athletic claims Odegaard was the sole signing who had "absolute consensus" from both manager and director following his impressive six-month loan spell at the club.
The report adds that the acquisitions of Tavares and Lokonga were down to Edu and his scouts, while Arteta personally pushed to get deals for Ramsdale and White over the line.
Tomiyasu's deadline-day arrival was only sanctioned after Hector Bellerin returned to Spain with Real Betis, with the former Bologna man set to compete for right-back and centre-back spots at the Emirates.
However, Arsenal are currently rock bottom of the Premier League table with no points and no goals from three games before the visit of Norwich City on September 11. body check tags ::
