Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was reportedly open to a transfer to Chelsea during the January window.
Ahead of Saturday's FA Cup final between the two clubs, Aubameyang is considering whether to extend his contract at the Emirates Stadium past 2021.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the Gunners skipper may have made the switch to his club's London rivals earlier this campaign had it not been for his wage demands.
Although the 31-year-old is said to have been keen on a move, Chelsea were not interested in breaking their pay structure to accommodate the attacker.
Aubameyang has since gone on to enjoy an excellent campaign with Arsenal, contributing 27 goals in all competitions.
