Barcelona are reportedly hoping to tempt Arsenal into selling Mesut Ozil by offering them Arda Turan in a potential deal.
The German's contract at the Emirates is due to expire next summer, and while manager Arsene Wenger is keen to keep hold of the player, there appears to have been little progress in securing his future.
According to the Daily Star, the Catalan giants are hoping to bring Ozil to Camp Nou and will offer the Turkish international to sweeten the deal in the hope of loosening Wenger's grip on a player whom they risk losing for free if he is not sold on in January.
The London club are in a similar predicament with Alexis Sanchez, but Wenger has insisted that neither will be leaving the club "unless something unbelievable happens".
Ozil, who joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013, is also said to be of interest to Manchester United.
